Master Tian Qiumao is performing Chen-style tai chi

Dozens of Chinese tai chi masters recently demonstrated different schools onstage at a newsconference for the World Tai Chi Forum in Beijing.

The four-day forum will kick off on April 8 in Sanya city's Nanshan Mountains Culture TourismZone in tropical Hainan province.

The annual event will become an exchange platform for practitioners from home and abroad thatwill accelerate tai chi's global development.

Organizers are calling for papers from around the world on such themes as tai chi's essence andits relationship to longevity. The committee will invite the most exceptional papers' authors to theforum.

The event will also host online voting and an award ceremony for the 100 most excellent tai chiexperts.

And, of course, masters will perform and train disciples at the forum.
