Purpose and scope
Crude Petroleum and Petroleum Products Salt Content
Tester is designed and made as per the National
Standard of Peoples Republic of China GB/T6532 Test
Methods for Salt Content of Crude Petroleum and
Petroleum Products. It is used to determine total
amount of halides (concentration from 0.002% to
0.02%) in the crude petroleum, reduced oil, cracked
residue and fuel oil. It can also be used to determine
degree of contamination of turbine oil and marine fuel
oil by sea water. If test requirement on precision is
within the range of this method, it can also be used to
determine other products.
