These canisters are made with a glaze-on glaze process requiring up to three firings.The design is inscribed into the slip-cast greenware and the base glaze applied. The piece is fired and the second glaze painted on with a tiny brush. The piece is then fired again. All Irina's pieces are unique and all are signed. Lead-free, these can be used for potpourri, storage of dry goods, as vases for dried flower arrangements or displayed as an unique art object.
