Vermentino Winery - Monti Co-operative. Classification: Galluran Vermentino Docg. Origins: from a careful selection of 100% Vermentino grapes coming from the Co-operatives best vineyards situated in Gallura. Soil composition: loose granite. Climate: regular rainfall, normally in May and June, followed by a hot summer. Harvesting: during the first week of October. Wine-making: in bianco after soft pressing and squeezing, with fermentation at controlled temperatures. evaluation: a light pale yellow in colour with greenish nuances: taste: dry and soft; an elegant bouquet, with aromas of quince and faint echoes of bitter almonds. This wine drinks well with sea-food, fish and shell-fish. An excellent aperitif too. It should be drunk at 8°-10° C. Alcohol content: 13%. Dry extracts: 21 gr. Total acidities: 5.7 g. 75 cl Borgognota Tradition bottles. Limited production.
