Negative proof plaques are characterized by a matte ground and beautifully polished extruded parts, they are more expensive to produce than sunken designs and are recommended if you are looking for a very high quality finishing. Those plaques are not colored as the design elements are extruded from the ground, not to mention also that we do not want to cover the rich gold-plated parts that we rather want exposed.
