Fused silica has many useful physical characteristics which justify its use in the manufacture of dental crucibles:
1, Very low thermal expansion, which confers to our crucibles a very good thermal shock resistance .
2, Low sensibility to metallic oxides, which assures a long term resistance against corrosion by dental
alloys.
