Galvanized casing nails are similar to finishing nails but more robust and heavier with conical heads and thicker shanks for providing more holding powers.The heads of casing nails allow the nails to be set flush with or just underneath the wood surface, as well as covered with putty or wood filler to make the nail unseen.
