MgO-AL2O3 Refractories Mag-Al bricks are manufactured by qualified MgO≥91% or MgO≥94.5% magnesite and qualified bauxite. In the matrix there are both of high temperature phase of periclase, and the spinel, another high temperature phase. They have, therefore, a good performance under high temperature and thermal shock resistance. They are widely used in open hearth furnace of steel-making, non-ferrous metallurgical furnaces, and so on. If some amount of chrome put in, the spinel becomes better, which is the best material used in non-ferrous metallurgical furnace and the proof of open hearth furnace of steel-making .The matrix of the spinel brick made from the synthetic Mag-Al spinel grain is in good structure that makes the fired crystal composed in good density and better thermal shock resistance.
