Storage and transport conditions

The products can best be stored under the following conditions: Unopened in a cool (± 16oC), dry and dark environment. Direct exposure to sunlight should be avoided. These conditions cannot always be achieved. Experience shows that a short time of exposure to light and heat during transport will not decline the shelf life of the product.

Do not heat above 180oC.

Chemical and physical characteristics

The product is not allowed to contain the following pesticides:

-Toxaphene Max. 0.10 mg/kg

-total DDT Max. 0.05 mg/kg

-other pesticides (individual) Max. 0.01 mg/kg

-PCB’s Max. 0.01 mg/kg

Presence of the following metals is tested:

-Cadmium Max. 0.02 mg/kg

-Mercury Max. 0.02 mg/kg

-Copper Max. 0.01 mg/kg

-Arsenic Max. 0.10 mg/kg

-Lead Max. 0.10 mg/kg

-Nickel Max. 0.10 mg/kg

-Iron Max. 0.10 mg/kg

Microbiological characteristics

The following analyses are done periodical:

-total viable counts < 1000/gr.

-Lypolytic m.o. < 10/gr.

-Yeast < 10/gr.

-Mould < 10/gr.

-Enterobacteriaceae max 10./gr.

Microbiological safety

Oil does not contain water.  The microorganisms cannot grow under those circumstances.  As long as the bottle stays closed, contamination is not an option.

Known unintended use

Unintended use, like consumption after the shelf life, storage at a high temperature, has not caused, to the best of our knowledge, any damage or danger to the public health.

Unknown unintended use

All other use then the mentioned ones are unintended

Our products are in conformity with the Dutch and European legislation for food product
