Stevioside (Stevioside; CNS: 19.008; INS: 960), also known as stevioside, is a glycoside extracted from the leaves of the Compositae Stevia Rebaudia (the plant is called Stevia in China). Stevia rebaudiana is produced in Paraguay and Brazil and is grown in China, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries. Its sweet component is composed of stevioside, stevia, glycoside, glycoside and glycoside. Stevioside can be extracted, clarified and crystallized with water from dry leaves. Three types are obtained in the actual production, namely crude extract and products with purity of 50% and 90%
