What is initial production inspection?
The Initial Production Inspection includes two different dimensions:
1. Product Information Verifying
After our client confirms the sample and before the factory starts the production, SAGAWIT goes to vendors office/plant to verify every single product detail right on their floor! This may sound redundant, but quite necessary in fact, for the lack of systematic communication in the factory often leads to bad surprised in the mass production. SAGAWIT ensures the factory key workers understand our clients specification, drawing and samples, while at the same time, we see to it that the factory makes due production schedule as well as outsourcing arrangement to meet clients deadline.
2. First Article Inspection
First article refers to the first batch of products (1-10% of your ordered quantity) factory manufactures during the mass production. Usually, it is a comprehensive checking on factorys physical products against previously agreed specifications. Thus provide the engineering evidence that the factory has understood customers requirement and is good to further carry on the production.

Main purpose of initial production inspection
* Avoid any misunderstanding between clients product specifications & samples and factorys actual floor operation
* Foresee the possible hidden problems during production
* Get a clear production schedule especially in terms of outsourcing items
* Have the actual engineering sample as the evidence of factorys understanding of clients requirement and as the real quality standard during the whole production process

What do we check?
1. documents: factory engineering drawings, quality control plan, material list. Etc.
2. Key persons in charge: QA manager, production manager, sourcing manager etc.
3. Development sample and production samples
4. Raw material quality and quantity
5. Production scheduling and process control
6. General cooperation of the factory
