What is comprehensive factory audit?
When you have an order of a huge quantity to place, you realize that you need to know more information than simply a brief report. You are concerned with not only whether the factory can finish this order, but also whether they can complete the whole project over a long term. Therefore, except for the general information, SAGAWIT also emphasizes on the overall management system, especially quality control system. We want to make sure the factory is capable to control the quality and production line over a long time rather than for a single order.
The comprehensive factory audit takes usually 2-3 days to complete and must be performed on the factory floor so as to obtain the first hand information.
Main purpose of comprehensive factory audit
Have a fair comparison among your primary vendor and other possible back up vendors
Obtain a comprehensive view of factory structure, organization, quality control system and general management.
Make sure whether the chosen factory is qualified as a long term business partner.
Uncover and solve hidden problems before production or P.O placement.
What do we check?
Except for what's included in the Simple Factory Audit, Comprehensive Factory Audit expands the inspecting range and look at the following areas:
1. Machine & Capacity Check
In this part, SAGAWIT mainly inspects the machines and their respective capacity in the factory. This data touches not only on how many fixed assets the factory owns, but also what kind of manufacturing profile the factory once held.
2. Sampling & NPD
Most of big projects require a relatively large quantity of sampling and a long period of product development,
which can only be accomplished by a professional and experienced team. SAGAWIT itself is
experienced in project management and product development process control, therefore,
much more reliable than others to perform the inspection.
3. Incoming material check
This part looks at the factory procurement control, containing information of material quality inspection,
material sourcing process and finally the material warehousing.
4. Quality control system
As probably the most important aspect of the whole report, Quality Control System inspection include
a full-scaled report from the qualification of the whole QC team to the specific production process control.
Questions will be asked from different angle and the answers will be analyzed and /confirm/ied.
5. Cost saving control
For any big project, particularly those last for a long time, the cost fluctuation could be disastrous!
SAGAWIT audit the factorys cost control right from the very beginning, including the labor cost and
the product material breakdown, thus minimize your risks.
