What is proppant used for?    

Ceramic proppant is the indispensable materials used in acid fracturing and hydraulic fracturing of new and existing natural gas and oil wells, which can increase the output and extend the service life of oil & gas wells.

How does proppant work?  

In the fracturing process, the ceramic proppants are mixed with a highly viscous fluid to form slurry. Then the slurry is pumped into stratum at a very high pressure which can crush hydrocarbon-bearing rock to create fracture. After flowback, proppants are left in the stratum through which oil and gas reserves can flow more easily, thus increasing production rate and service life.

Where is proppant from?   

As we all know, there is abundant superior bauxite in China .The ceramic proppant  is sintered from this bauxite and other additives by the rotary kilns with a temperature more than 1300℃. Its mineral composition is aluminum oxide, silicate and iron – titanium oxide.
