C9 Aromatic Resin

1.Description

C9 Aromatic Resin is one in a series of low molecular weight, nonpolar, light yellow colored thermoplastic resins produced from petroleum derived monomers ranging in softening point from medium to high. The major applications areas are paints, printing inks, rubber,  elastomers and varnishes. It is odor improved grade with extremely low odor and low VOC, good compatibility with other resins and polymers.

 
2.Properties and applications:

C9 aromatic hydrocarbon resin is made by C9 fraction, a by-product of ethylene, its appearance is transparent granular or flakes with color range from light yellow to dark brown. It has the properties of good solubility, compatibility, water resistance, insulation and very good chemical stability against acid and alkali. It also has a good adhesive strength and lower heat conduction, etc. as well . It is usually used as tackifier, accelerant, regulator, modifier etc.,together with other resins. Normally this product is suitable for coating, paints, printing ink, adhesive, rubber assistant agent and modified resin,etc.

•Used in paints, it enhance the film’s glossiness, cohere power, hardness, anti-acid & anti- alkali ability. 
•Used in adhesives, it enhances tackifying ability, anti-acid & anti-alkali ability and water resistance power. 
•Used in ink, it help the ink’s color spread, fast dry and brightening efficiency. 
•Used in rubber, it has good compatibility with NR, helps tackifying, strength and softening the rubber.
