Trilostane--Description:
Trilostane is an inhibitor of 3 β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase used in the treatment of Cushing's syndrome.
It was withdrawn from human use in the United States market in April 1994.[3][4] The drug is available in the United Kingdom for use in humans under the brand name Modrenal and is used for treatment of Cushing's disease and for breast cancer treatment
Trilostane--Applications:
It is usually given by the inhaled route for direct effect on bronchial smooth muscle. This is usually achieved through a metered dose inhaler (MDI), nebulizer or other proprietary delivery devices (e.g. Rotahaler or Autohaler). In these forms of delivery, the maximal effect can take place within five to 20 minutes of dosing, though some relief is immediately seen.
