Properties

Thanks to the specific reactivity of the 2-aminoethylaminopropyl structure, using AC-D210 as an adhesion promoter in Glass - fiber reinforced or filler-modified plastics reduces the filler's sedimentation tendency and improves dispersibility and numerous mechanical properties (e.g. flexural strength, tensile strength, modulus of elasticity) of the composites.

The use of AC-D210 in these materials also results in a markedly improved resistance to water (vapor) and corrosion. Electrical properties, such as volume resistivity and the dielectric constant, are also positively influenced.

Applications

Silane AC-D210 is an important additive in applications such as:

Glass fiber or glass fabric composites: As a finish or size constituent

Glass and metal primers

Foundry resins: As an additive to various types of foundry resins

Sealants and adhesives: As a primer or additive

Mineral-filled polymers (composites):  For pretreatment of fillers and pigments or as an additive

Paints and coatings: As an additive and primer for improving adhesion to the substrate
