glass. Glass will fuse to an unprotected hard ceramic kiln shelf. Ceramic fiber paper (often called Thin

Fire shelf paper) is an alternative to applying kiln wash to a hard ceramic kiln shelf.

Place a piece of fiber paper between the shelf and your glass so the glass will not stick to the shelf. This

saves you from coating the kiln shelf with kiln wash. Ceramic fiber paper is used under glass during firing.
