Here are some advantages of Pure Sine Wave inverters over modified sine wave inverters:
a) Output voltage wave form is pure sine wave with very low harmonic distortion and clean power like utility-supplied electricity.
b) Inductive loads like microwave ovens and motors run faster, quieter and cooler.
c) Reduces audible and electrical noise in fans, fluorescent lights, audio amplifiers, TV, Game consoles, Fax, and answering machines.
d) Prevents crashes in computers, weird print out, and glitches and noise in monitors

Pure sine power inverters produce cleaner power than a modified sine power inverter, and our line of pure sine models will cover all the complex electronics that are part of our everyday lives. A pure sine wave will replicate the kind of the power you get from utility grid, providing a wide range of benefits. This kind of clean power will allow electronics to run more efficiently than they might on modified sine wave DC to AC inverters.

DC/AC pure sine wave inverters, with power ratings from 500w to 30kW, feature rugged designs and high reliability while providing clean, utility grade power. Schaefer offers the industry's most complete range of input and output voltages, with a selection of package styles and mounting configurations. Some of our highly advanced designs feature integrated a UPS, static switch, battery charging and/or parallel capabilities.

Appliances with inductive loads, such as microwave ovens and motors, are more efficient when connected to a 12v Inverter for sale than when connected to a modified sine wave inverter. They run faster and quieter. They are less prone to Overheating, as well. With a pure sine wave inverter, you can make the most of appliances with inductive loads.

On the other hand, a sine wave is expensive to make in an inverter, and many sine wave techniques use heavy, inefficient transformers. The most inexpensive way to make AC is to switch the DC on and off--a square wave. A modified sine wave is scientifically designed to simulate a sine wave in the most important respects so that it will work for most appliances. It consists of a flat plateau of positive voltage, dropping abruptly to zero for a while, then dropping again to a flat plateau of negative voltage, back to zero for a while, then returning to the positive voltage. This pause at zero volts puts more power into the 60HZ fundamental than a simple square wave does, so it is called "modified sine wave" instead of "square wave." Because the MOSFETs only have to turn completely on and completely off the dissipate he least amount of heat for the power generated, and so smaller semiconductors and heat sinks are needed than if you were trying to generate a real sine wave.
