Lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis‐idaeal) also called cowberry, foxberry, mountain cranberry, csejka berry, red whortleberry, lowbush cranberry, mountain bilberry, partridgeberry[1] (inNewfoundland and Cape Breton), and redberry (in Labrador)  is a dwarf,evergreen,ericaceous shrub that grows to about 10‐ to 20‐cm tall.It is seldom cultivated, but the fruits are commonly collected in the wild. The native habitat is the circumboreal forests of northern Eurasia and North America, extending from temperate into subarctic climates.
