Indications: It is used as antipyretic in serious or life-threatening situations. It is also used in the treatment of spasmodic pain.

Contra-indications: The product should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to pyrazolones. It is contraindicated to patients suffering form existing disturbances of blood cell formation. Analgin passes the placental barrier, and should there fore be used during pregnancy, especially during the first 3 months and the last 6 weeks, only after careful consideration of the indications. Analgin was considered to be unsafe in patients with acute porphyria.

Adverse Effects: Analgin produced an exacerbation of dyspnoea, cyanosis and respiratory arrest. Agranulocytosis presumed to be due to analgin. Allergic skin reactions.

Administration: It may be given by intramusoular or intravenous injection in doses of value=".5" tcsc="0" unitname="g" w:st="on">0.5g to value="1" tcsc="0" unitname="g" w:st="on">1.0g.

Storage: Store in a safe place out of the reach of children.

Validity: Three Years
