Auto CPAP devices can be used in the straight CPAP mode in order to provide constant pressure, 

which is in some cases more desirable.

It can automatically provide the correct amount of pressure to prevent or even correct disordered breathing 

such as apneas, hypopneas, air flow restrictions and snoring.
