Description:
1.75mm Black ABS filament is a polymerized styrene comprised of Acrylonitrile, Butadiene and Styrene. Following are advantages:
- Acrylonitrile and Styrene gives ABS filament rigidity and shiny surface. Polybutadiene gives it toughness and impact strength.
- ABS filament performs a better flowability when melting and resists corrosion and abrasion as well.
- Our ABS filament no bubbles and kinks or breaks.
- ABS filament is a recommended material that the loose temperature requirement during extrusion process.
- Works with RepRap, Makerbot, Mendel, Huxley UP, Printer, WeisTek, Thing-o-matic , Ultimaker , Lulzbot and other popular 3D Printers.
- These qualities combined make it an ideal material for injection mold and extrusion.
1.75mm Black ABS Filament features
ABS filament is a sturdy plastic that allows prints to have a great resistance to high temperatures, so it can be used for printing things like containers that hold hot liquids. However, because of this high resistance to heat, ABS must be extruded at a very high temperature (250 degrees) and must be printed onto a heated print bed.
Notice
Both the extruder and print bed should be heated at the specifical temperature, during and after the printing process. The reliance of ABS filament on high temperatures during the printing process can cause warping. If your printer is open to cool air and drafts, the consistency of your print bed temperature can become compromised, resulting in ruined prints.
Information about Storage
Both ABS and PLA filament do best if, before use or when stored long term, they are sealed off from the atmosphere to prevent the absorption of moisture from the air. This does not mean your plastic will be ruined by a week of sitting on a bench in the shop, but long term exposure to a humid environment can have detrimental effects, both to the printing process and to the quality of finished parts.
Moisture laden ABS filament will tend to bubble and spurt from the tip of the nozzle when printing; reducing
