Sintered Alnico magnet is composed primarily of Aluminum, Nickel, Cobalt, Copper and Iron. Sintered aluminum nickel and cobalt uses the powder metallurgy method to make, easy to process small size and easy to control the tolerance, suitable for complex shape, light, thin, small products. but the magnetic properties is lower than the cast AlNiCo. It is an ideal material in high temperature application, which has high operating temperature up to 450°C and above, with excellent corrosion resistance. They can become partially demagnetized if they come in contact with other ferrous materials, special care is required during handling and storing. They are available in various grades depending on its application. Sintered Alnico have lower magnetic properties but offer higher mechanical characteristics.
