On bench and pedestal grinder, these wheels are mounted, and they are used for off hand deburring, sharpening, shaping and removal of all types of materials. They are offered mainly in two kinds, one is aluminum oxide abrasives used for steel and metal, the other is silicon carbide abrasives used for carbide and non-ferrous metal. These wheels could be with reducing bushings which allow the wheels to fit most standard arbor sizes.
