Spherical roller bearing has two rows of rollers, and is designed to carry axial load. Meanwhile it can also take redial load in any direction. It has high axial load capacity and is especially adapted to work under high load or vibrating working conditions. But it can not take pure axial load. The raceway of the outer ring is designed as spherical to have self-aligning property so as to adjust to improper alignment.

In order to improve the lubrication performance, the outer ring is lathed to have a oil groove and drilled with three equi-spaced oil holes, which is coded as W33.
