Materials

FonTER PVR piping is produced from a compound of innovative Poly Vinyl Reinforced.

The PVR pipe has a big tensile strength, up to 69pa in the temperature of 20°C. Its strength decreases as the loading time, but the decreasing rate is smaller and smaller as the time increases, and it stops to decrease after about 1000 hours. Being about half of the instant tensile strength, its long-term strength of tension is the strength of PVR piping for long time or persistent strength. It is the criterion for general design for PVR piping.

Application

FonTER PVR piping is the very professional product designed especially for long-distance transmission against low and compressed air. It has a non-porous, exceptionally smooth interior surface. The average roughness of the pipe and its fittings is Ra≤0.007μm.

It has good chemical & corrosion resistance and durability, low thermal conductivity, high strength-weight ratio, good impact resistance, and easy for installation.

The flexibility parameter of the PVR piping is about 2.8~3.4×104kg/cm2 under normal temperature.

The working pressure of the PVR piping is set to be ≤1.6MPa, the blasting pressure over 9.8MPa. It has strong impact resistance against “air hammer”, boasting high security character.

For PVR Ø20mm, the pressure decreases 1 bar when it is length than 120 meters, the flow has a loss of 0.1 m³.

For PVR Ø40mm, the pressure decreases 1 bar when it is length than 500 meters, the flow has a loss of 0.5 m³.

For PVR Ø63mm, the pressure decreases 1 bar when it is length than 800 meters, the flow has a loss of 1.2 m³.

If the LOOP design is taken, the decrease of the pressure and the loss of flow can decrease 40-50%.

Thermal Expansion and Contraction

As with all thermoplastic piping materials, consideration must be taken during the design of the system to the effects of thermal expansion and contraction.

The line thermal expansion coefficient of the PVR piping is 6×10-5/°C (0.06mm/m°C).

For example, if a Ø40mm pipe for 50 meters length is installed under 15°C, its expansion should be 75mm when the temperature rises to 40°C, which can transform the pipe as pipe will be deformed. At this moment, a U-form joint is needed in the pipe. So if a turning or a zigzag connection for avoiding barriers is paved in the pipe to replace the U-form joint, the installation of whole piping can be done with installing a U-form joint per 30-50 meters or the similar devices.

Aging and degradation will take place if it is exposed to ultraviolet radiation for long time.

It is applicable for 40-50 years in room environments.

PVR piping materials are non-inflammable materials, with the self-extinguish function, so that the fire will not be reinforced. The fireproofing grade meets GB 8624-2006 B f1 grade (equals to UL94 standard, V-1 grade)

Designing

Compressed air is used in the industry and the automotive sector, generally at pressures of less than 1.0MPa.

Compressed air has many applications, powering pneumatic tools is one of the most common ones.

To enable the tools to be used effectively, the compressed air must be distributed appropriately throughout the workshop. All devices must be fitted accordance with the manufacturer's recommendation.

The applied compressed air should meet the following requirements:

1. Liquid water must be removed completely and gas-formed water should be removed as completely as possible, the pressure dew point being under no more than 10°C.

2. Remove the oil with the oil hydronium more than 0.8~1.0μm in the suspended oil gas.

3. Remove the dust powder and carbon power particle of higher than 0.3~1.0μm.

4. The pressure should be no less than 0.7Mpa. The influence of long-distance transmission of the compressed air being taken into consideration, the rating air discharging pressure should be 0.1Mpa higher than the employing pressure.

Designing property of FonTER PVR piping

FonTER PVR piping are plastic pipes, whose chemical and physical performance can ensure the avoidance of recontamination of clean compressed air during transmission. In long-distance transmission, it also has the following designing advantages to ensure the stabilization of flow and pressure, and to remove to its extent the dirt and moisture in the compressed air.

1. Design of water and air separation: the main pipe is connected with branch pipe via bending swan neck to prevent oil and water in the main pipe from coming into air supply workstations to shorten the service life of equipment and tools.

2. Loop design: loop design is adopted for the main pipe to ensure each workstation using air has equal working pressure.

3. Sectional valve design: Maintenance without production suspension can be realized through valve control of pipeline.

4. Fall design: fall design is adopted for the main pipe (i≥2%) to drain the water collected at the lowest point.

 

Installation

FonTER PVR piping are mainly connected with FonTER PVR solvent cement, whose Brookfield viscidity≥1200 cps, blasting strength is 28 bar at joining 2 hours after, shearing strength after 72 hours 63 bar. Under room temperature  16°C, the  40mm piping can be moved only 3 minutes after joining, and the pressure can be added to 8 bar after 60 minutes. Use quality grade Teflon tape as a thread sealant for threaded connections. So the whole construction of the whole project shall be very easy, the same as the later maintenance and increasing and decreasing operation.
