This kind of bearings can carry a combined radial and axial load but is seldomly used to carry sole axial load. Inner ring with full arrange of rollers and retainer and outer ring can be mounted on the bearing respectively. Tilt between thaft and bearing housing will cause the bearing's failure, because the additional radial load caused by relative tilt will bring much more axial load which is not the cup of tea of Tapered Roller Bearings. Axial tolerance is the key factor for this kind of bearing's well performance. So litter tolerance will cause bearing's fast tempera ture up; so large will cause bearing's destory. Therefore, proper axial tolerance will be worthy of our attention while mounting and operating. Also we could adopt interference mount, if it is needed, to increase the rigidity of the bearing.
