Shear safety valve is mounted on either side of the discharge manifold, it can protect me equipment by venting when the pump pressure is over the standard value. There is a mark of the working pressure of each grade carved on the shear board; we only need to plug the shear pin into the relevant bore according to the  pressure given when adjusting the pressure. We must pay attention that the shear board can only plug in one shear pin and we should mount the valve before any stop in case that it will damage the pump and the safety of the personnel when staring the pump before opening the stop valve.
