Drop center formed diaphragms are convoluted diaphragms with a deeper center draw. This style has all the advantages of the convoluted style with longer stroke capability. Drop center styles can also be easier to assemble than convoluted styles, particularly if a return spring or some other hardware limitation doesn’t allow the piston surface and the flange to be on the same plane during assembly.
