Screw Conveyor

    Conveyor provides enclosed transfer while moving materials-horizontally, vertically, or at an incline and can deliver materials from one or more inlet points to one or more discharge points.  The are employed for handling a great variety of materials which have relatively good flowability.  Sticky and perishable materials are unsuitable for screw conveying.  They are compact and easily adapted to congested locations and widely used in the chemical industry, food industry, pharmaceutical industry, building materials industry, etc.

    Screw conveyor consists of a screw solid shaft mounted in an enclosed U-shaped trough or tubular housing.  As the screw rotates, material heaps up in front of the advancing and is pushed through the trough.
