hardened & ground shaft featuring high precision of rectilinear motion which used with Ball Bush.
LM SHAFT used with Linear Motion Ball Bush acts as the guide of the ball bush and the inner
raceway of the bearing as well.
The quality of shaft’s is potent influence on the functions of ball bush and linear motion system.

1.Materials

♦High Carbon Chromium Bearing Steel shaft (KS : STB-2, JIS : SUJ-2)

♦Martensitic Stainless Steel shaft (SUS440C)

  -In general,‘ High Carbon Chromium Bearing Steel’is used. For anti-corrosive application or non-
   lubricant application, SUS440C is usually used; Chemistry, Food machinery, Medical instruments, 

   Semiconductor, etc.

2.Heat Treatment

WON‘WON SHAFT PRECISION CO.’supplies the exact and stable high frequency induction heat
treatment by our own exclusive equipment for LM Shaft heat-treatment. The heat-treatment by
tempering assures the LM Shafts uniform hardness in both radial and axial directions, developing an appropriate hardened layer.

SUS440C … HRC58 ∼ HRC62
