2. The product can be galvanized or PVC/PE coated for corrosion protection purpose. For razor types, typically the core wire is galvanized and the tape is stainless to prevent the points from rusting to bluntness.
3. Galvanization process coats the barbed wire with a zinc layer. Zinc coatings prevent corrosion of the protected metal by forming a physical barrier and by acting as a sacrificial anode if this barrier is damaged.
