once they have been dismantled and cleaned the cylinder heads are taken to the inspection area where the heads are measured.
During these tests the cylinder head is immersed in water a temperature of 90°C and subjected to internal air pressure of approximately 8 kp/cm². Any cracks are detected easily and the cylinder head is rejected.
The seatings are ground and the levels and heads checked. If the seating cannot be ground, high-quality steel rings are used to make them ring shaped.
All the cylinder heads in our engines are planished in line with A.N.R. (Spanish Grinders' Association) standards. The nominal sizes are always maintained. Planishing is carried out on different machines depending on the type of cylinder head.
The camshaft caps are aligned with precision machinery.
only when all the parts are ground and calibrated are the smaller components fitted: guides , seatings, springs, valves, seals, etc using high-quality new parts.
