Closed cell phenolic foam is particularly suited for use as an insulation material for heating and Ventilation (H & V) pipework and ducting inside buildings. Continuous lamination involves the production of laminate by spraying the liquid foam mixture onto a moving facing. A top facing is introduced and the laminate cures as it passes through a conveyor press and heated ovens. It is then cut into the required panel size.
We have found it to be an excellent alternative to traditional galvanised ductwork and is ideal for specifications where space or weight is restricted. Compared with heavy galvanised sheet metal ducting that requires a second step to its installation process to both vapour seal and thermally insulate the ductwork, Goot Phenolic foam air duct offers a high performance, lightweight and robust ductwork system that requires only a single fix installation process. This not only makes it a high speed operation for projects on which time is critical but also provides the advantage of a considerable saving in space.
GOOT Phenolic Foam Ducting Panel 55/60kg/m3 density, 20m thickness, CFC/HCFC free, and priotected on both sides with 65 micron aluminium facing or 180 micron GI sheet or 180 micron painted steel sheet.
Advantages of phenolic foam air ducts:
1. Low thermal conductivity (0.02W/ m. K) ensures excellent insulation property.
2. Light weight for transportation and handling (1.4kg/ m2) duct work eliminates having to use heavy duty anchors and supports.
3. Long service life.
4. Temperature capabilities ( -140 ° C to 150)
5. Easy to install which helps on cost savings.
6. Uniform in appearance of the installed duct work.
