Composite insulator comprise the mandril, shed and metal terminal.

The epoxy-fiberglass mandril take on the outside mechanical load and inside insulation. It have great tensile strength ( 58.8kN/cm2 ), 2-3times than common steel, and 8-10 times than high strength porcelain.

The shed, for outside insulation, is to protect the mandril from the corrasion of sunshine and wet weather, and help to prevent the flashover in polluted conditions and wet weather. In the artificial speed-aging test, the silicon rubber that make into sheds, have no evident changes in mechanical and electrical performance. The test prove that our products have excellent anti-aging performance.

The function of metal terminal is to transfer the mechanical load and connect the electrical wire. It have reasonable structure and firm connection. The joint between the terminal and mandril adopt advanced press technology and donot affect the integrity of the mandril.
