PTFE (trade name Teflon) is officially in the record books as having the lowest co-efficient of friction of any solid material and is extremely effective operating at extremely high and low temperatures. Applications:

PTFE tube/pipe is made by plunger extrusion of suspension polymerized PTFE resin.
Among all the existing plastics, PTFE has the best corrosion-resistance.
It is insulated and has a low co-efficient of friction. It could be used to make seals, insulated materials. It could be also used to reduce friction in Machinery.
