1000's of uses! Used worldwide by audiophiles, artists, engineers, technicians and mechanics. It holds, it seals, it dampens vibration and it's re-usable.

Available in North America from Artech, BLU-TACK is a British product that has been favorably reviewed in both the British and American press as an ideal method of mass coupling loudspeakers to speaker stands.. In their Sept. '92 issue Stereophile tested various speaker/stand interfaces such as Tone Cones, German Acoustics Damping Feet, ISO Bearings, Monster Footers, Mod Squad Feet, Navcom and BLU-TACK. It was concluded that "the winner in this comparison is the cheapest: BLU-TACK."

BLU-TACK is a non-reactive, resistive damping mastic which behaves like a tacky, flexible, semi-liquid when being handled but like a solid at audio frequencies. It comes in thin flexible sheets that can be cut up or pulled apart as needed. It provides excellent mechanical energy transmission properties at audio frequencies even though it is a semi solid.

It is used primarily between the top plate of loudspeaker stands and the bottom of loudspeakers. This mechanically couples the loudspeaker to the stands much like spikes would but without damaging the loudspeakers. The BLU-TACK will take a "set" after a few hours and adhere to both surfaces preventing the speakers from shifting on the stands if knocked. BLU-TACK can be removed by rotating the loudspeaker on the stands to break the seal. BLU-TACK is reusable and has many other uses such as holding up posters, cards or photos on a wall. It also holds screws to the tip of screwdrivers or holds parts while soldering. One package is enough to do many pairs of loudspeakers.

BLU-TACK can also be applied to audio equipment to damp unwanted resonances that can negatively alter sound reproduction. Use it on CD and DVD transports, filter capacitors, coils, chassis, covers and circuit boards. It is also good for damping turntable chassis and motors. Works great for damping loudspeaker baskets, especially stamped steel ones. It's cheap, so experiment!

BLU-TACK is non-toxic and non-flamable. It has many other uses such as holding up posters, cards or photos on a wall. It is a great artist's eraser. It can be used to hold small items in position for photography. It will hold a screw to the tip of a screwdriver or holds parts in place while soldering (great for holding SMD devices in position on a PCB). Also great for removing dust and grime from hard to reach places or picking up tiny object (beads, ball bearings whatever).
