GENERAL:

RSBA heat shrinkable cable joint closures for telephone cables are fiber reinforced heat shrinkable closures designed for the protection of cable joints for the pressurized telephone cables network. The heat shrinkable cable joint mainly consists of a heat shrinkable, reinforced and wraparound sleeve and a wrap-around metal canister/cardboard liner. The heat shrinkable sleeve is a reinforced composite laminate. The heat shrinkable sleeve is internally coated with a flexible heat adhesive which will melt and adhere to the cable to form an air and water tight seal. The wrap-around metal canister/cardboard liner protects the cable joints from moisture vapor transmission. The white line inside of the trajectory and the temperature-sensitive paint on the heat shrinkable sleeve can lead a good and right operation. The heat shrinkable cable joint closures can be used on polyethylene, lead, steel and aluminum jacketed cables for straight cable joints and branch cable joints up to three telephone cables out on each side. The kit also contains a range of fully interchangeable air fittings which can be incorporated in the closure. These include a reversible valve, an air connector and a low profile blanking plug to reduce accidental damage.
