Ring joint gasket (RTJ gasket) are manufactured in accordance with JPI-7S23, ANSI B16.20 and API 6A used on the ring type joint flanges specified in JPI-7S-15, ANSI B16.5, API spec 6A and MSS sp-44.These Gaskets are manufactured in different solid metal types like soft iron/SS304/316/321 metal and other alloy items.
They are used to stand high pressure and temperatures and they are employed where corrosive agents are present. These gaskets are designed in oval/octagonal shapes confirming to R,Bx and Rx series of API std 6A.
