• Function: ADSS preformed rods tension clamp is used for ADSS cable route’s fixing and anchor shackling. Usually be installed on the terminal tower, tight tension tower and intersection angle tower etc.

XXXX means cable’s diameter (unit: mm)×102 , Use “0” ahead when it is less than 4 figures, e.g.: Cable’s diameter is 12.85mm then we need to write 1285. Three figures after “/” mean the holding strength of tension armor (unit: KN), and use “0” ahead when it is less than 3 figures.

E.g.: ADSS cable’s diameter is 12.85mm, the limit RTS is 60KN (can require the correspondence holding strength according to the designing), and so the model should be: SHN-A1285/060.

If you use span to mark model, you should change “/” to “-” and take a brackets after it then mark the span in it, e.g.: SHN-AXXXX-(400M). Pay attention to special reminding: if you use span to mark it you must give the meteorology parameters of the environmental conditions such as the maximum wind speed, the maximum ice coating, temperature (the maximum and the minimum)

Explanation: The above diagram only lists partial model parameters. Customers should define optical cable’s diameter and the limit RTS first before ordering the products and they should also define the model of optical cable in the correspondent way. Using range of products model parameters is allowed a certain tolerance range on the condition that the products satisfy the holding strength requirement. According to nation’s related technology formulate, tension clamp’s holding strength should reach 75% of optical cable’s limited RTS in general.

If cable’s RTS is a bit stronger and the operating tension of usage is a little lighter, you can choose the tension clamp’s holding strength for practical needs.

E.g.1: one cable’s diameter is 13.60mm, the limit RTS is 62.5KN, required holding strength by designing is 75% RTS, so the method to choose the armor model is:

           13.60×102 =1360

           62.5×75% =46.875≈47(KN)

So tension clamp’s model is SHN-A1360/047.

E.g.2: one cable’s diameter is 12.85mm, the limit RTS is55.4KN, required holding strength by designing is 95% RTS, so the method to choose the armor model is:

12.85×102 =1285

           55.4×95% =52.63≈53(KN)

So tension clamp’s model is SHN-A1285/053.

Preformed rod tension clamp can be made up of aluminum-clad steel and galvanization steel according to the function and the customer’s needs.
