Rules of thumb for perforating

1) Generally, the hole diameter should be more than the thickness of the material.

2) For stainless steels and similar higher strength materials, it is preferable to at least three thickness gauges thinner than hole diameter.

3) The bar width should be greater than material thickness because of thin bar break off easily.

4) The long sides of perforated sheet can be supplied with minimum margins, and the short sides of the sheet can have either minimum margins or no margins.
