Stamping is a processing procedure in which a force is applied to the material by the die fixed on the press to make the material split or deform, so as to get the desired part( which is generally called as a stamped part or stamping ). Not only metal materials, other materials as well, such as nonmetallic materials and compound ones, can be processed through stamping.Stamping is widely used for producing all kinds of components in many industrial departments, such as machinery manufacture, automobile production, aviation, electrical appliances, instruments and daily commodities. In these departments, stamped parts account for a comparatively large amount, with more and more parts which used to be made by moulding, forging or machining being substituted by the stamped parts.
