SHAPES & SIZES : The preformed liners are fabricated by contact mould hand lay up process in different shapes and sizes as required by the customer. The following are some of the standard types and brief descriptions: 1. Flat sheet with concrete bonding ties. Single side finished, to be used as wall liners. Sizes will be decided as per wall area. Joints between consecutive sheets to be onsitu laminated. Curved sheets intended for cylindrical tanks / reservoirs are also fabricated. Thickness ? As required but not less than 3.0mm 2. Cylindrical / Square / Rectangular : Single side finished, normally used for manholes and chamber walls. The liners have socket type end intended for extension. Both external and internal liners with concrete bounding ties to the concrete side, associated with liner for cover slab and benching are also fabricated if required. Diameter and length of the liners as per customer requirement. Thickness ?As required but not less than 3.0mm 3. Cover slab & Benching : Single side finish cover slab liners with manway up stand and opening to be used as roof soffit liners with concrete bounding ties to the concrete side. Round, square or rectangular types are fabricated. This has to be bonded with concrete surface during casting. Joints with wall liner / lining will be carried out onsitu after concrete casting & installation. The liners for benching will have flow channels as per the site requirement. The, to be accessed surface of the benching will have non slippery, rough silica sand finish. Liners with reducing sections are also being made. QUALITY ASSURANCE : Quality assurance is strictly as per the requirement of BS EN ISO 9001: 2000. All records pertaining to the Quality of the will be preserved and is available for verification / review whenever required by the responsible authority. GENERAL :

PROCESS : onsitu lining is carried out in five essential steps. 1. Raw Material Storage 1. Raw Material Storage : Since the materials used for the purpose comes under hazardous grade it is ensured that the storage should comply with the requirement / facility advised in COSHH statement. 2. Surface Preparation : Surfaces to which the lining shall be applied should be clean, dry and shall be free from Crack, deterioration, grease, dust, sharp edges, oil, loose or any foreign materials. If the surface is concrete, it shall be completely cured prior to application. Major imperfections on the surface shall be leveled with cement screed. Minor imperfections and holes on the surface will be cleared with resin putty. All pipe connections to and from the wall shall be fixed firmly. 3. Surface Priming : The clean and dried surface will be primed with a rich coat of Isopthalic resin. Area of priming will be limited to ensure the lay up to follow on the wet primed surface. 4. Application of Laminate : The laminate will be applied by well trained professionals. The laminate will be applied layer wise with proper rolling to ensure air free laminate. based on the required thickness the no. of layers will be pre designated and applied accordingly. All layer joints will be overlapped for a distance not less than 50mm. 5. Top Coating : After ensuring that applied laminate is completely dry the pre designated coating / C Veil mat lay up followed by coating will be applied. 6. Final Inspection : After ensuring that the lining is completely cured final inspection will be carried out as per the plan. On successful inspection it will be handed over to the customer. QUALITY ASSURANCE : Quality assurance is strictly as per the requirement of BS EN ISO 9001: 2000. All records pertaining to the Quality of the will be preserved and is available for verification / review whenever required by the responsible authority. SAFETY : All safety measures as mentioned in the COSHH statement, Safety Statement and all measures insisted by the site management. |
