The Primary current recorder uses the samesensor technology as the original Rogowski coil. The True RMSinductive sensor does not use magnetic materials. The opening ofthe sensor is electronically closed and external currents areelectronically rejected.
The accuracy, external current reject, andrange of currents measured by the patented amp sensor substantiallyexceed the performance of the best clamp-on sensors. The true powerfactor is calculated by measuring the electric field in comparisonwith the current reported from the amp sensor. The key feature ofthe unit is the ability to leave it deployed on the line to recordreadings every 15 minutes for 90+ days. It easily attaches to theline with a standard insulating bar. once on the line, itimmediately begins to collect and record the current and powerfactor on the line.
The Primary current recorder is equippedwith an 433M wireless port for communicating the recorded data intothe user`s PC. The data is downloaded through GF2015SPC-linkSoftware software, which allows the user to download, viewand query the data stored on the Primary current recorder.
The housing of the Primary current recorderis made of ABS+PC and is built to operate safely, even in severeutility environments. It is resistant to shock, repels water and isunsusceptible to flame. It also operates within a wide temperaturerange. The Primary current recorder has a the screw insulation barof installation, which allows it to hang on the line securely inall weather conditions.
PC-linkSoftware is a user-friendly softwareinterface that allows the user to download, view, graph and exportdata from the Primary current recorder into Microsoft Excel. Thedata directly transfers from the Primary current recorder intoExcel through an 433M Port.
