A blood culture is alaboratory test in which blood is injected into bottles withculture media to determine whether microorganisms have invaded thepatient''s bloodstream.

Blood culture bottle isrequired to perform the blood culture test, and in general bloodcultures are ordered as a set, which consists of 2 bottles (1aerobic bottle & 1 anaerobic bottle), and several sets of bloodculture are ordered to get the testresults.
