DAC stands for dynamic axial compression. It combines thepreparative column and packing system together. It is very simpleto operate. The column can be used online when it is packed well.Don’t take the column down! Bed compression is maintained constantso that swelling will be prevented. once particle shrinking takesplace because of the solvent flow, the piston will automatically godown to let the bed maintain constant column pressure.
CXTH-PACK DAC can be packed with small particulate media (10 umless) so as to reach high levels of performance. For columns from50mm to 300mm internal diameter, the column efficiency can reach upto 50,000 theoretical plates per meter. This requires an excellentdistribution. Our engineers have innovated in the distributinggroove at the column ends and designed efficient solventdistribution systems to obtain optimum theoretical plates. For thebetter control of the chromatographic conditions, DAC columns canbe coat with a temperature jacket and/or insulation.
