Description

Blast furnace is a kind of enclosed vessel just like a blackbox, operated at high pressure and high temperature, dense dust andhigh humidity atmosphere inside the furnace. Traditionally, BF iscontrolled by measuring furnace temperature, pressure and analyzingtop gas characteristics. One typical device is the above burdentemperature measuring cross-probe. With expertise in iron makingand better understandings of the metallurgical process, SPTCB hasdeveloped technologies allow BF operators know what happensinside blast furnace.

 

The SW Blast Furnace Thermal Camera System(Focal Plane Array),provided by Shenwang Pioneer Tech. Corporation Beijing (SPTCB),brings benefits to BF operators through better monitoring thefurnace internally. SW Blast Furnace Thermal Camera is an upgradingproduct of the furnace top camera. FPA camera is specially copedwith lower top temperature operation of a BF, andit is a new modular developed by our company with high cost. Lensesof FPA camera are made of germanium metal and usedto be applied for military purpose. It is transferred to civilutilization only recently.

Along with the improvement of BF operation, furnace toptemperature becomes lower and lower. Black screen happens by usingthe conventional CCD camera, when the BF top temperature is too lowcausing a weak signal, CCD camera does not fully meet therequirement of modern BF operation.

The Shenwang thermal camera can measure a temperature domainfrom 40°C~800°C. It can meet the requirement ofmodern BF operation. With the new thermal camera, fulltemperature curves can be obtained instead of merely thesimple conventional above burden probe temperaturemeasurements.

 

When the top temperature is high, the image displayed reflectsgas flow with CCD camera. When the top temperature is low, a clearimage of the burden charge equipment as well as gas flows can beseen clearly with FPA camera.
