The Coil Winding Aide linear drive is mainly used as a guiding mechanism for feeding linear material onto a rotating reel during the winding process, where one rotation of the reel requires a traverse movement equal to one diameter of the material being wound. The traverse shaft is driven by a belt connection from the shaft supporting the reel, thus ensuring a constant relationship between the traversing speed and reel take-up speed.

The Coil Winding Aide can be used for spooling a variety of other materials from hair-thin fiber to heavy gauge rope and chain, such as winding cables, winding wires, winding plastic ropes, winding plastic string, winding rubber/plastic pipes, winding chains, winding rectangular strips, winding flats, winding filaments, winding ribbon, winding tapes, winding foils, etc. Widely used in applications of level winding, layer winding, Spoolers / Take UPS of Wire drawing, Stranding, Armoring, Braiding, Extruder and other Wire Processing Machines.
