Maintenance and changingIonization Tubes
1. Cut the power by disconnecting the batteryeliminator.
2. Remove the top cover.
3. Carefully remove the clip that keeps theionization tube in place.
4. Unscrew the electron tube from the baseplate.
5. Carefully pull the metal sock off, wipe theglass with a wet cloth.
Then wipe the tubes dry with a dry cloth. The tubeshould be replaced after 9000 hours of use.
6. Put the clip back.
7. Put the top cover back on.
8. Insert the plug and check that it’s workingproperly – a faint buzzing sound should be heard and a faint ionsmell should come from the unit.
