Its indexes of efficiency and cavitation exceedthat of IH pump. You can make an exchange with the single pump ofthese two types. Design featuresThe pressure acting on theshaft seals is compensated by means of back shrouds or balancingbores at the im-peller. The shaft is sealed either by co-lied oruncooled soft packings or by single or double mechanical seals ofvarious designs which can also be balanced. Antifriction bearingsdesigned for long durability and an amply dimensioned shaft ensurea particularly smooth funning. For some sizes, the volute casingsare designed with double volute to compensate the radial force. Thebearing frame, incl, shaft, impeller and stuffing-box housing formthe pipework for maintenance work. (If a spacer-type ccoupling issued, the drever need not be removed, either. )Flanges are normalyrated to PM16 orPN25, depending on the material. Theycan, however,also be designed to ANSI125 lbs or 150 lbs.
